COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s Tegra Tshabola is entering the transfer portal.
He spent the past two seasons starting at right guard for the Buckeyes, though he struggled with consistency.
Tshabola signed with Ohio State’s 2022 recruiting class as a four-star prospect out of Lakota West High School in West Chester, Ohio.
After red-shirting in 2022, he appeared in all 13 games in 2023.
He opened the 2024 season as Ohio State’s right guard, but as the campaign progressed, his role changed. In the 2024-25 College Football Playoff, Tshabola was part of a three-man rotation with Luke Montgomery and Austin Siereveld between the two guard spots.
He entered the 2025 season as the starting right guard once again, and he held that role despite Josh Padilla, Ethan Onianwa and Gabe VanSickle pushing for playing time.
Ahead of the 2025-26 CFP, Tshabola was sidelined due to an injury. He did not play in Ohio State’s loss against Miami as Padilla and VanSickle rotated at right guard.
