In the Dutch first division, Ajax defender Itakura Ko (38) made his first appearance since starting the match against the Go-Ahead Eagles as a starting pitcher, and was substituted in the 32nd minute of the second half.

While trying to prevent the opponent from passing, he injured his leg and sat on the pitch, then left. Coach Haitingha explained at a post-match press conference, “I took good care of him because I had a foot cramp. I think I'll be able to return next week.”

The match was tied 2-2.
