Young people often tease us who are not actively working now, but who have just received pensions as a reward for working for over 40 years, saying, “Pensioners are always on leave, so I don't know when it's time for public holidays.” But we can clearly see whether the public has gone on a long vacation. Because young people will no longer be in the city we live in!
We are very grateful for this, but there are times when we just can't understand it. The question is why people go out of the country, including Dordogne, Liguria, Formentera, Santorini, and Vilamoura.
Anyone who has been to an international airport in the UK during the summer knows that a large number of people line up trying to board a plane to Southern Europe. Of course I'm not among them. As I get older, I have gained a certain degree of clarity, so I try not to get close to the airport at this time of year unless something special happens.
However, my wife prefers to go to the beach with her friends in the summer, and the housekeeper also leaves me on a few weeks' vacation, which leaves me alone. At that time, several friends visited our house and drank together some of the precious alcohol they had hidden in the basement.
This year, a few friends from Japan came, one of them kindly brought in a personal chef, so I enjoyed three meals a day and enjoyed some amazing food, and I was only happy to choose the wine that would suit the treat.
We also talked about recent topics about F1, as we were able to share some nostalgic memories.
