The draw for the quarterfinals of the Emperor's Football Cup was held on the 7th at the JFA cultural creation center “blue-ing” in Suidobashi, Tokyo, and the top eight cards to be held on August 27th have been decided.

Former Japan national team member Nakazawa Yuji, who won the Emperor's Cup as a Yokohama defender at the 93rd tournament in 2013 12 years ago, drew a lottery as a guest drawer. FC Machida Zelvia, who has been on the verge of winning eight consecutive official matches and is now on the rise, will clash with the powerful Kashima Antlers.

SC Sagamihara, the only J3 player to win, met with Vissel Kobe, the last champion, who is aiming for a consecutive victory.

Tokyo V/Nagoya-Hiroshima

The match against Tokyo V and Nagoya (Aji Star), which has not been completed in the fourth round (Round 16), will be held on the 13th.

Nakazawa said, “It's difficult from here (the quarter-finals). There are league games, so it's difficult to get the condition up.” He said that the key points include how to use players, and that “we will need a different fighting style than a league match.”

The semi-finals will be held on November 16th (the venue will be decided), and the final will be held on November 22nd (Tokyo National Stadium).
