On June 26th, SRO Motorsports Group announced that it will hold a demonstration event called “SRO Hyper Car Club powered by MZ SUPERCAR” at the SRO GT Power Tour Fuji, which will be held at Fuji Speedway in Shizuoka Prefecture from July 11th to 13th, to exhibit hypercars owned by Maezawa Yusaku, who is participating from MAEZAWA RACING in this season.
The SRO GT Power Tour, which will be held from July 11th to 13th, will host the fourth round of GT World Challenge Asia and the second round of the SRO Japan Cup. There have been 57 entries in the total of both series, of which 47 will be participating in the GT3. The SRO states that it is “the most entries ever in the history of GT races in Asia.” Furthermore, when combined with the support race, this is a hot topic, attracting over 100 sports cars.
This exciting race week marks an even more exciting event. This season, the SRO Hyper Car Club powered by MZ SUPERCAR will be exhibited at the venue seven hypercars owned by Maezawa Yusaku, who is competing in the series as the team owner and driver of MAEZAWA RACING.
Maezawa is known as one of the leading car collectors, and has launched the MZ SUPERCAR PROJECT, a project aimed at sharing “dreams” and “impressions” with many people through cars, using the world's rare supercars and hypercars he owns, and this activity has led to the activities of MAEZAWA RACING.
In the project, Maezawa, the head of the project, will be using his supercar collection and will be managed by Yokomizo Naoki, a project manager and driver who is teaming up with Maezawa in the Japan Cup. By holding exhibitions and driving events, motorsports activities, and disseminating video content, we are working to bring the appeal and value of cars to more people.
This event, which will be held in collaboration with the MZ SUPERCAR PROJECT and the SRO Motorsports Group, will feature seven hypercars, but it is a limited edition of less than a few hundred vehicles worldwide, including only one “One of One” machines in the world.
The vehicles on display will be announced one by one on the official social networking sites of GT World Challenge Asia, MAEZAWA RACING, and Maezawa Yusaku Supercar Project from Friday, June 27th to Wednesday, July 2nd, and the first ones of these vehicles will be labeled Pagani, Zonda and ZOZO. This is a one-off model created by Pagani Automobili for Maezawa.
The exhibition will be held in the paddock area, which anyone can access if they have a ticket. You should be able to see rare hypercars up close. Some hypercars on display will also be running in parade runs. Winners selected in the lottery can also enjoy riding along Fuji Speedway in the passenger seat.
