Brighton midfielder Mito Kaoru (28) of England Premier League players started in a preseason match against Southampton, England second division, and played until the 34th minute of the second half. The team led the team with two points with a goal from forward Minte (22), but then conceded two runs and drew 2-2. Defender Sugawara Yuse (25) played in Southampton in the 9th minute of the second half.

Mito started on the left side of the main battlefield and aggressively entered the goal. In the 19th minute of the first half, he ran into a long feed from defender Fanhecke, and tried to take a shot with his right foot from the chest trap, but he didn't get a hit. He showed a decent connection with the newly joined left-back, Belgian national team defender DeKaipel.

The team took the lead in the 25th minute of the first half. FW Minte, whose jersey number changed from 17 to 11, faced off against the opposing defender in the penalty area and kicked him into the left corner of the goal with his left foot.

Sugawara played in the second half in the 9th minute of the second half, and they matched up against Mito. They struggled to block midfielder O'Reilly's shot, but Brighton added an additional goal in the 20th minute of the second half. Just like the opening goal, he poured a left-footed control shot into the left corner of the goal. Mintae was exonerated shortly afterwards.

Then Southampton fought back. In the 24th minute of the second half, 18-year-old forward Robinson dribbled and took a shot with his right foot to get a one-point difference, and a few minutes later, FW Armstrong scored a penalty kick from Sugawara's right corner kick to tie the game.

Mito left in the 34th minute of the second half, when it was 2-2, and the game ended. Brighton will then play a friendly match against Wolfsburg on the 9th, and will face the Premier League opening match against Fulham on the 16th.

Southampton midfielder Matsuki Kuo (22) was not a member because he participated in a training match held privately before the match.
