LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Braden Frager scored a game-high 15 points, including a clutch field goal with :32 left, as Nebraska preserved its undefeated record with a 72-69 win at Ohio State. Frager was one of four Husker players to score in double figures, joining Rienk Mast (12), Jamarques Lawrence (11), and Pryce Sandfort (11).
Nebraska improved to 15-0 with the down-to-the-wire victory.
The Huskers started hot against the Buckeyes behind long-distance shooting and a balanced offensive approach. Nebraska went in front by 14 on a Cale Jacobsen 3-point play midway through the first half. Ohio State, however, came charging back in the second half and erased the Huskers’ advantage. The Buckeyes were led by John Mobley, Jr’s 22 points.
Earlier in the day, Nebraska moved up to #10 in the Associated Press Top 25, marking the program’s highest ranking since 1966.
