Midfielder Minamino Takumi (30, Monaco) made a strong presence, with a brilliant volley shot.
In the 8th minute of the second half, midfielder Kubo Takefusa (24, Real Sociedad) responded to the far side after a cross from the right of the penalty area. Without hesitation, he swung his right foot through, but the ball went over to the goal.
He was unable to win the first match of the rehearsal for next year's FIFA World Cup North and Central America Tournament, and said, “If we could win a match like this and end it would give us more confidence. It's really frustrating that we couldn't score a complete match despite the opportunity to do so.”
