I thought my wife would have a peaceful week while she was playing in a Bridge tournament or something in Cornwall. But my old cell phone suddenly started ringing like crazy!
I've received two phone calls, WhatsApp, messages, emails, and even faxes (I never knew there was someone other than me who used faxes these days). At the fuss, I reluctantly lifted my hips from the comfortable deck chair in my backyard and headed towards my study. He read a message at a desk with lights just right for the elderly, and then responded to several calls.
That morning was filled with a quiet atmosphere that was ideal for me. Upon hearing the noise I had awakened, our loyal housekeeper quickly began preparing breakfast. When I took a shower, shaved, and appeared downstairs in light clothing suitable for a mild climate, orange juice, cornflakes and fruit were already in stock, and while I was enjoying it slowly, the kitchen was filled with the wonderful aroma of an English breakfast.
I was lucky that the housekeeper had prepared a modest amount of dishes worthy of my age. That's because it wasn't five minutes after I sat down and started reading the newspaper, and then the crazy thing started.
It was a shame to let go of the comfort of the deck chair, but when I reluctantly checked the message, I realized that something “extraordinary” had actually happened. Christian Horner, the CEO of everything Red Bull Racing and the ruler who controls the motorsports division, was also known as Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore, and was immediately fired.
