On the 3rd, the Japan Football Association (JFA) announced the members of the Japanese national team who will be competing in the East Asia E-1 Championship (7th to 16th) to be held in Chiba City from the 7th.

Midfielder Uno Zento (21) was selected for the first time from J1 Shimizu S-Pulse. Uno commented through the club. “I have been selected for the Japan national team to compete in the East Asian E1 Football Championship. I am very pleased to be selected for the first time in Japan. I will be proud to be a player of Shimizu S-Pulse,” he said enthusiastically.

Uno joined the J1 Machida Zelvia last summer on a developmental transfer, and contributed to his promotion to J1 with two goals in 12 games. This season, when he has been transferred to a permanent position, he has played in 21 games so far, and has been a viable midfielder.

This is the first time he has been selected from the team since goalkeeper Gonda Shuichi (36, Hungary's Debrecen), who competed in the Qatar World Cup in 2022.
