On June 28th, on the final day of the third Super GT race, “SUPER GT MALAYSIA FESTIVAL 2025,” held at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, Matsuda Tsuguo, driving the Realize Corporation ADVAN Z in the GT500 class, Ishiura Hiroaki, driving the KeePer CERUMO GR Supra, Oshima Kazuya, driving the ENEOS X PRIME GR Supra, and TGR TEAM KeePer CERUMO manager Tachikawa Yuji, were presented with a plaque commemorating the 200th and 150th races in the tournament.
Oshima and Ishiura, who have been active as top drivers in Super GT for many years, both made their debut in 2006. Oshima made his debut in the Liangshanpaku apr MR-S in 2006, and Ishiura made his debut in 2006 by participating in the 6th Round Pokka 1000km in the DHG ADVAN FORD GT. In 2007, they teamed up with the TOY STORY apr MR-S to win the GT300 championship. In 2008, Oshima joined the Euro F3, making only one Super GT entry, so the two had the same number of times, and the 150th race was commemorated in the third round of Sepang in 2025.
The two were presented with a plate commemorating the 150th game of participation by Japan Motor Chamber of Japan, Chairman Toyota Akio. At the same time, Matsuda Tsuguo (198th in the third round of Sepang, 2025), who made his debut at the fifth round of TI Circuit Hideta in 2000, won the GT500 champion, and who drives the Realize Corporation ADVAN Z this season, was also presented with a 150th round commemoration plate, and TGR TEAM KeePer CERUMO manager Tachikawa (205 in the final round of 2023), who made his debut at the FEDEX 300ZX-GTS in 1996 and retired at the end of 2023, was also presented with a 200th round commemoration plate.
On the final day of the third round of Sepang, the four of them were presented with a beautiful plaque made with traditional Malaysian crafts at the hospitality of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing. The presenter is Chairman Toyota Akio, who just became chairman of the Japan Automobile Chamber of Community General Incorporated Association on June 10th. In his greeting to take office, he said, “As the chairman of the Japan Automobile Chamber of Commerce, I would like to focus on the “cars as a culture,” and this commemorative plate could be said to be part of this.
“Thank you for the 650-game story of Tachikawa, Matsuda, Ishiura, and Oshima. I hope that it will be passed down to the next generation… I have made it a plate to represent the feelings of the fans like that,” commented Chairman Toyota.
